April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player American She is one of a small group of women who have won medals in more than one Olympics. Alix-Klineman is set to compete alongside Ross at Tokyo for her third gold medal in the coming days. Ross hopes to win the Olympic first gold medal, but she is also aiming to earn even more. Perhaps she has one chance at winning, as she's 39 old. However, she's confident that the top awards are in reach. Ross, via NBC Boston, said that when the team performs very well, or even at all, it could be able to win gold. This is also the result of luck. Ross was born on August 22, 1982, located in Costa Mesa California. She resided in the area together with her parents. While at Newport Harbor High School, she was a participant in many activities. She was a basketball player and also ran track in addition to her volleyball skills in the indoors as a pre-collegiate athlete. She clearly was the top in the game of indoor volleyball. In her own biography, during high school she played volleyball as an outside setter (middle blocker) and setting (outside blocker). In recognition of her work she was named the 1999 Gatorade Circle of Champions National Player of the Year. Also, she won the 1999 Orange County Athlete of the Year trophy for volleyball. Ross and Klineman have been continuing to play from 2017. However, Ross was a major player in the beach volleyball scene before the pairing. She has won major tournaments twice with different partners. One of them has become an iconic player in the world of volleyball. From 2007 until 2013 she played by Jennifer Kessy, who is the coach she is currently. Kessy as well as Ross proved to be an impressive force on the international circuit, winning the 2009 World Championship together. The duo eventually captured a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. The Misty Maytreanor legendary team along with Kerri Jennings won the gold. Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate after Maytreanor's retirement. They took home the bronze medal in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics 2016. Ross was a player for the Trojans at USC during her college years after she graduated in high school. This was an impressive run for Ross at the university. In 2000, she was voted Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and NCAA Freshman of the Year. She was also named an All-American. She also helped the Trojans reach into the Final Four. The Trojans suffered a significant personal defeat in her sophomore year however, she was successful in achieving the All-American title. In her two final years with the Trojans she was instrumental in helping them win consecutive championships. Ross was an excellent volleyball player and won the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the most outstanding female volleyball player at the college level. Ross majored in the field of international relations in USC. Unfortunately, Ross mother Margie never got to see Ross's daughter reach the highest levels of beach volleyball superstardom. Ross's mother died of cancer of the breast in the year 2001. Ross had just become a second-year student at USC. As a result, Ross continues to be close to her deceased parent. Margie, on the beach and in daily life, is still a source of inspiration for her.
